(More customer reviews)After sticking a couple of dirty cups into the dishwasher -- which, unbeknown to me, contained clean dishes from a cleaning cycle initiated by my wife the night before -- I had to find a "dishwasher alert" indicator. I thought this would be as easy as going down to my local hardware store and picking one up.

NOT. After wandering around two big-box home improvement retailers and two smaller hardware stores, I experienced an "ah-ha" moment and searched Amazon.com. I purchased this alert and one other to see which ones I'd like.My dishwasher doesn't have a metal front so having an adhesive backing or velcro squares was somewhat important but not a deal killer as I have some velcro patches around.

I did not choose this one. It's easy enough to use-- apply the velcro to an appropriate area of the dishwasher and orient the magnet.It was just a little too big for my tastes, compared to a smaller alert I purchased.But, I can see myself going to this if there are complaints of "I can't see whether it's DIRTY or CLEAN" with the other alert I'm using.I believe it's a great item for someone who needs the bigger print and/or the ease of using a magnet/velcro alert.
