(More customer reviews)When I first got this item, I thought it looked GREAT. I loved that it was printed with the instructions for what items need water, what needs an open or closed vent, etc...looked good!But it has failed to keep any of my lettuce fresh. I get organic produce delivered to my house, and even if I put in in right away, it wilts and turns brown quickly. I am now giving those "discs" a try, but have resigned myself to the fact that the temperature of the fridge and how long it's been since the lettuce was picked are probably the most important factors. I now doubt there is a container out there that will help. Also, when I first used this product I found it was really easy to forget about the water in the bottom, and have the bottom slip splashing water all over the place, so that also contributes to my 1 star review. However, the container is "fine" for storing washed grapes or other items, but I simply can't give it high marks when it fails at it's primary advertised function -to preserve lettuce.
